Office Assistant Jobs description
An office assistant is responsible for all general administrative duties. Responsibilities include data entry of various reports, scheduling conferences and checking availability of the conference rooms for the same, attending telephone calls, assisting in typing of documents, assisting with human resource management activities, reception duties in absence of the receptionist, checking emails for managers, coordinating with various departments in the interest of the hiring department, maintaining cordial relations with members from other departments, offering help to visitors or new employees in the administration.An office assistant should have a high school diploma. Prior experience as an office assistant may prove advantageous. Ability to utilize Microsoft Office applications is desired by most employers.
