About the role
Two legal practice support roles are now available in our Melbourne Projects & Real Estate team, including one exciting newly created role supporting a new Partner to the firm. These roles would suit intermediate to senior legal administrative professionals who have a background in (or are seeking exposure to) Project Finance or Real Estate matters, looking to join a dynamic team at a premier law firm.
KWM is committed to teamwork, flexibility and quality client service - these skills will set the successful candidate up for success.
Responsibilities will include:
Preparation of legal documents including formatting correspondence and documents, photocopying and printing documentation
Maintaining an efficient and effective electronic and paper filing system
Scheduling appointments in authors’ electronic diaries
Providing exceptional client service to both external and internal clients, in person and by phone
File management
Monthly billing
Assist Business Development team with draft pitches and tenders
Assist with coordinating client events with the Business Development and Events team
General administrative tasks such as booking conference rooms and functions, organising travel arrangements, AMEX reconciliation/expense management for authors
What experience are we looking for?
2 years experience in a legal secretarial or legal assistant role
Typing speed of 70 wpm highly regarded
Advanced knowledge of Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Ability to analyse, problem solve and apply appropriate use of judgment
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, choosing an appropriate style for their audience
Previous experience using Elite or similar system an advantage
Well-developed interpersonal skills
Confidence and ability to use initiative appropriately
Effective planning and organisational skills
Business or Secretarial Course highly regarded
