We are seeking an ambitious and proactive full time Administration Support Officer to work in a small team and provide general administration and communications support to the University’s IT department (TIS – Technology and Information Services). TIS is responsible for providing high quality IT services on behalf of the University to its staff, students and visitors. The Administration Team plays a vital role in supporting the rest of the IT department by providing timely and high-quality office administration and communications services. This is an exciting time to join us. In addition to providing core administration and communication services, you will help to review and improve our processes, and work closely with other teams, managers and the Director by providing administration support for a range of activities such as business planning, projects and IT service delivery. You will help us change the way we work in a small team offering the opportunity to gain wider experience in a forward looking environment, providing collaborative administration support to the TIS Directorate. In conjunction with other team members you will deliver a customer focused, cost effective and efficient administration and communications support service You will provide a wide range of administration support services for TIS including internal and external communications (e.g. creating/coordinating regular communications and events), meeting with customers, visitors, partners and stakeholders, working with data, raising and monitoring orders, organising meetings, taking minutes, diary management, arranging travel, providing advice and responding to enquiries and requests in an effective and timely manner. You will require a knowledge of Microsoft applications and comprehension of other digital platforms including social media. You will: Already be working in a customer service background. Be able to demonstrate effective verbal, writing and communication skills. Have an understanding of working collaboratively as part of a team.
