ABOUT THE JOB

The Ittleson Community Residence (Bronx, NY) provides family, educational, and mental health programming for children ages 8-15 years' old who are struggling with emotional disturbances. Our Ittleson Homes provides a family-like environment with a less restrictive level of care, where residents can benefit from an enhanced level of interaction and function within the community.

The Administrative Manager at Ittleson House is an essential administrator/manager role, responsible for the supervision of staff, ensuring proper coverage of staff and clients, and ensuring that therapeutic interventions are carried out accordingly. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Management of day to day operations of the program, including: Direct supervision of all AOD and Direct Support Professional (DSP) staff while on duty, including per diem coverage as need; Designate and direct DSP and administrative support staff in collaboration with, and in the absence of team leaders

Triaging of emerging critical incidents with relevant staff and ensuring that treatment planning for youth is carried out; Function as a liaison for the program with other programs, schools and regulatory bodies

Conduct supervisory checks of the residence; Maintain electronic records (AOD Log) and accountability sheets; Responding to emerging critical incidents

Support program through crisis prevention and intervention; Upholding the practice of Sanctuary model

Assist with and provide recommendations on hiring and staff development

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

An Associates Degree preferred, OR a minimum of 5 years of work experience in a residential setting OR high school diploma required with a minimum of 6 years of work experience in a residential setting

A current, valid clean Driver's license is required for this position
