General Description of Position:
Serves the Lafayette Testing Services in the roles of testing administrator, receptionist, and clerical support.
Major Responsibilities:
Operate hardware/software needed to administer the various certifications and assessments, and to support these efforts according to established procedures
Assist with the scheduling and registering of participants and/or proctoring a variety of assessments and certifications, which include, but are not limited to: VUE, CLEP, DSST, TEAS, Certiport, ATI, Kryterion, PSI, MSSC, Metro, and Meazure Learning.
Act as liaison between Systems Office Testing Services and Lafayette Testing Services to schedule candidates for a variety of statewide contracts which include, but are not limited to CNA, QMA, IDEM and IDHS exams.
Assist in training proctors and maintaining proctor currency. Create testing instructions to be used by proctors in scheduling, administering, and tracking exams.
Assist in the maintenance of confidential assessment/test results and proper documentation of tests and other records in coordination with the Testing Services staff
Assist with the preparation and processing of certification/assessment materials, including but not limited to printing off, scheduling, and administering Distance Education, Make-up, and certification exams.
Assist with the scheduling of Remote Distance Education Exams.
Enter data into the appropriate Testing Services database
Assist with the providing of information to Advising and Office of Admissions
Order test vouchers and office supplies. Create and track purchase orders and payments to 3rd Party Vendors for vouchers and testing units.
Assist in tracking payments from 3rd Party Vendors and billing for Testing Services.
Serve as receptionist for the Lafayette Testing Services.
Direct students to the appropriate testing room
Answer incoming calls for the Testing Services Center
Answer questions or refer specific inquiries to the appropriate staff.
Provide clerical support for Testing Services staff with such tasks as collating documents, mailings, faxing, file preparation, work requests, and other duties as assigned.
Assist in maintaining a secure and safe Testing Services Center.
Conduct all activities within established guidelines of the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).
Conduct all activities within the established guidelines of the Ivy Tech Testing Services Procedures Manual.
Minimum Qualifications:
Associates degree and two years of related experience are required.
Due to access of testing materials, current Ivy Tech Community College students may not be considered for the position.
Must have excellent spreadsheet and word processing skills, along with strong customer service skills, and be highly organized. Occasional evening hours are required.
