\u003cli\u003eResponsible and accountable for answering questions received from the reference desk providing the firm and the client with accurate information while providing the best value in a thorough and timely manner.\u003c/li\u003e
\u003cli\u003eResponsible and accountable for managing ongoing and special projects while providing the firm and the client with accurate information and providing the best value in a thorough and timely and manner. Projects could include Class Action Tracking, Current Awareness Reports, Competitive Intelligence Reports, etc.\u003c/li\u003e
\u003cli\u003eResponsible and accountable for answering reference questions received from the KM Reference Service Desk providing the firm and the client with accurate information while providing the best value in a thorough and timely and manner. Questions could include gathering survey information, requests to update legislative tracking, requests for SME information, etc.\u003c/li\u003e
\u003cli\u003eResponsible for maintaining a through in-depth knowledge and understanding of all of KM\u0027s resources in order to be able to quickly and accurately respond to requests. Ensures all internal clients receive succinct, complete answers to research questions within specified time and quality constraints.\u003c/li\u003e
\u003cli\u003eResponsible for conducting accurate and thorough searches in the Document Management System.\u003c/li\u003e
\u003cli\u003eResponsible for conducting triage on reference requests and projects to prioritize work and ensure all work is done in a timely manner.\u003c/li\u003e
\u003cli\u003eResponsible for asking appropriate questions, and to determine when independent judgment is required or where additional information is required from the attorney to ensure that resources are used appropriately.\u003c/li\u003e
\u003cli\u003eResponsible for packaging information in a succinct manner, to avoid a data dump of materials and still provide a complete answer to the research question or project.\u003c/li\u003e
\u003cli\u003eResponsible for providing accurate, brief, concise training to attorneys and paralegals so that users can conduct thorough, timely, and accurate research on their own.\u003c/li\u003e
\u003cli\u003eResponsible for identifying pertinent legal developments as they happen, and report such developments to all appropriate practice areas and project heads. Must be able to sift out what is important and what is not applicable for each practice group and project.\u003c/li\u003e

\u003cli\u003eExcellent written and verbal communications skills with an emphasis in email communication.\u003c/li\u003e
\u003cli\u003eAbility to conduct brief and accurate reference interviews.\u003c/li\u003e
\u003cli\u003eProficient in online legal and non-legal research tools such as West, Lexis, Bloomberg, PACER, Courtlink, BNA, CCH, Hoovers, LRI, etc. The ability to utilize the correct tool for the correct question while providing the best value to the client and firm for complex research requests.\u003c/li\u003e
\u003cli\u003eProficient in using and be familiar with print Labor and Employment reference materials, both as a researching tool and in evaluating materials for collection development.\u003c/li\u003e
