Billing Coordinator - NYC
The New York office of Robinson Cole is looking for a full time Billing Coordinator to provide administrative support to aide in the billing and collection process. The Billing Coordinator is responsible for all general and electronic bill troubleshooting and resolution acting as liaison between the Billing Attorney, Legal Administrative Assistant, Electronic Billing Specialist, Accounts Receivable, Client, and E-Vendor.
Candidates must have two years of electronic billing experience. Knowledge of electronic billing terminology, types of billing structures/arrangements, electronic billing systems and files (LEDES), and electronic billing sites are a must. Ability to adapt to changing demands and priorities while adhering to schedules and deadlines is required. Must have strong service orientation, excellent decision-making skills and be detail oriented. The Hartford office of Robinson & Cole LLP, an Am Law 200 firm, is seeking a full-time Business Immigration Paralegal with a minimum of two years of experience to join our Immigration practice.
Our lawyers, experienced in all aspects of immigration law, represent Fortune 100 and Global 500 companies, as well as small businesses, new ventures, and nonprofit organizations, including hospitals and universities. Our firm provides a full range of immigration legal services. The New York office of Robinson & Cole LLP, an AmLaw 200 firm, is seeking a full-time highly skilled Legal Administrative Assistant to support our Litigation practice.
This position will collaborate with various internal departments to open, close and reactivate matters, generate inquiries and reports, track and enter time, prepare client bills and respond to client billing inquiries, and complete submissions for expense reimbursements and check requests. Additional responsibilities include managing and organizing the attorney’s practice, including calendar management, scheduling travel arrangements, preparing correspondence, assisting with reception services, facilities requests, and completing special projects as assigned.

Senior Manager, Legal Recruiting – Boston, MA; Hartford, CT; New York, NY; or Stamford, CT
Robinson Cole, an AmLaw200 law Firm, is seeking a Senior Manager, Legal Recruiting to join our Talent Management team. Position may be based in Boston, Hartford, New York or Stamford. The Senior Manager, Legal Recruiting will work collaboratively with the Chief Talent Officer, the Hiring Committee, the Legal Recruiting Coordinator(s) and others on the Talent Management team to develop and implement the Firm’s strategic recruiting goals.
The Senior Manager, Legal Recruiting will work directly with, and report to, the Chief Talent Officer. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Recruiting
Lead the legal recruiting function across multiple offices for lateral partner, counsel and associate hires, summer associates, legal interns and temporary attorneys or paralegals. Includes overseeing the interview and offer process.
Participate in Hiring Committee meetings, including candidate deliberations and decision making.
Utilize legal search software to facilitate the identification of potential candidates for open positions or to meet strategic initiatives.
Increase and enhance knowledge of the Firm through the fostering of relationships with outside recruiters and law schools. Manage relationships with local publications, social media sites, professional organizations, and other resources for posting and distributing job ads. Negotiate recruiting agreements, track candidate submissions and ensure timely payment of vendor invoices.
Oversee recruiting database, reporting on evaluation of candidates, for law schools, NALP, and internal reporting. Prepare yearly updates to NALP forms and legal employer directories
Summer Associate Program and First Year Associates
Manage the summer associate program, including orientation, events, training and summer associate work coordinator and mentoring programs. Gather feedback on summer associate performance and participate in mid and end of program summer associate evaluations.
Collaborate with team to plan the orientation and onboarding for first year associates.
Serve as a go-to resource for summer and first year associates.
Additional Responsibilities
Supervise the Legal Recruiting Coordinator(s).
Work with Firm management to set and oversee Legal Recruiting Budget.
Track recruiting statistics for diversity reporting purposes.
Special projects as may be requested by the CTO.
Requirements
At least 5 years of legal recruiting experience at an AmLaw Firm, with a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory role
A bachelor’s degree is required; a J.D. or other advanced degree is preferred
Understands attorneys, law Firms, law students and the legal recruiting market
Strong leadership, interpersonal and management skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Pro-active, self- motivated, organized and detail-oriented
Ability to multi-task and effectively prioritize competing demands on time
Ability to travel to Hartford office if not based in that office

Ideal candidates will have a minimum of 4-5 years of commercial real estate experience assisting attorneys in all aspects of transactional management, document revisions, closing preparation, due diligence review, title insurance company coordination, preparing transaction binders and drafting routine correspondence. Familiarity with commercial mortgage lending and Corporate State filing is preferred. Experience with commercial Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac transactions is helpful.
