Profile

Supervision of legal administrative assistants and other administrative personnel
Ensures proper staffing, monitors workloads and overtime. Continuously reviews attorney support needs/staffing goals of the firm, and makes recommendations to increase or decrease personnel, as necessary
Recruitment of paralegals, legal administrative assistants and administrative personnel in accordance with Human Resources processes
Administration of the firm's evaluation process for business professionals – all in accordance with Human Resources guidelines and procedures
Assist with employee onboarding, equipment setup, and off boarding processes
Conduct local orientation of new hires
Serve as first point of local contact for business professional issues, including counseling, coaching and corrective actions
Handle all aspects of facility maintenance, including building security, office assignments, office moves and supplies
Understand and appropriately apply the firm’s practices and procedures
Work with Office Managing Partner(s) to develop and carry out strategies to promote each office
Coordinates financial matters as needed with the Accounting Department
Tracks and manages office specific personnel and facilities expenditures and submits proposed office budget
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree or commensurate professional work experience
Knowledge of legal or other professional service organizations with prior experience managing office operations
Demonstrated understanding of business planning, budgeting and cost control
Able to handle multiple tasks effectively
Can identify and analyze complex issues and problems and is self-motivated to recommend and implement solutions
Can manage office functions economically and efficiently
Maintains excellent interpersonal relationships and communications with attorneys and business professionals
Demonstrates excellent supervisory and leadership skills
Previous law firm experience with emphasis in HR is a plus
