General Description of Position:
This position processes financial aid documents and information in order for students to receive Federal, State, and Institutional financial aid in a timely and accurate manner.
Major Responsibilities:
Process applications and other materials related to financial assistance, including but not limited to student/parent loan applications, verification of information, certification of student eligibility, and other processing functions as assigned.
Package financial aid awards, notify students via email, process necessary reports related to federal, state and institutional aid programs.
Define, understand and use Banner (information system database) screens as necessary.
Maintain accurate records for student aid applicants and help in collecting data for required reporting. Research student information through various federal and state agency websites and databases.
Review and perform R2T4 calcuations.
Create ad hoc excel spreadsheet reports. Review reports, correspondence, and materials of both a general and confidential nature and makes corrections as necessary.
Provide strong written and verbal customer service as demonstrated through a positive attitude of approachability, adaptability, strong problem solving and desire to identify and support student success. Gets to the root cause of the issue to solve it as quickly and professionally as possible.
Organize resources and initiate actions within established guidelines to achieve departmental objectives. Provide administrative support to departmental and upper management.

Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Must have the ability to multi-task, be extremely detail-oriented, and possess strong organizational skills.
Must be able to manage time effectively, handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously, and demonstrate the ability to work in a diverse environment.
Ability to learn and effectively use multiple software packages and databases required.
Working knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft Office applications is mandatory.
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet strict deadlines.
Must be able to identify or acknowledge departmental needs, prepare documents, expedite processing, track and verify processes and follow up without direct supervision.
Excellent written and verbal communication is required.
Must demonstrate strong customer service.
Must be able and willing to work overtime on a seasonal basis.

Preferred Qualifications:
