POSITION SUMMARY:

The Human Resources Coordinator is responsible for providing generalist support for the Sr Manager of Human Resources. They will act as a point of contact for all general inquiries in respective associate populations regarding benefits, payroll, orientation/onboarding, and all talent management programs and projects. They will also act as first point of contact for all HR-related matters including employee relations matters at their initial phase of escalation. They will seek out and obtain partnership with Sr Manager Human Resources in the resolution of more complicated employee issues. They will also further build leadership skills and knowledge of the business with particular proficiency in performance management, employee relations, and engagement initiatives.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

HR Administration

  • Provides guidance to associates on all company benefit and LOA inquiries.
  • Responsible for the entry and audit of HRIS data for respective business groups (salary changes, promotions, transfers, hierarchy management, open position creation, etc.)
  • Runs and analyzes reports in order to track HR metrics (turnover, adverse impact, census, etc.) and provides guidance and recommendations based on results.
  • Works closely with payroll to ensure all payroll-related inquiries are acknowledged and handled in time for payroll processing for all associates.
  • Acts as liaison between associate and appropriate payroll representative regarding questions, issues, or concerns.
  • Maintains and revises organizational charts for assigned areas on weekly basis.
  • Designs proposed organizational charts for assigned areas during times of department/division restructures.
  • Enters all associate claims in provider database.
  • Supports Sr Manager Human Resources in tracking temporary associate start and end dates, and follows up with hiring managers regarding temporary assignment end date reminders and extension requests.

Onboarding

  • Conducts Brand New Start New Hire Orientation, ensuring that all new hires are set up for success, providing company and benefits overview.
  • Coordinates with Facilities and Security to provide new hires with ID building badges.
  • Coordinates with managers on new hires’ 90-day reviews and collects upon completion.

Employee Relations

  • Works as primary HR contact for Calvin Klein Design, Merchandising, Marketing, Licensing, Sustainability, Global Strategy, Facilities/Security, and Legal teams, in consultation with respective managers, to resolve employee-related issues and consults with the HR business partner as needed.
  • Conducts investigations, prepares questions, and evaluates information to make recommendations towards resolution in consult with the Sr Manager Human Resources.
  • Advises and guides managers in communicating disciplinary decisions with HR business partner consult.
  • Maintains awareness and compliance with current state-specific employment legislation.

Employee Engagement

  • Acts as point person for employee engagement programs such as PVH’s Annual Benefits Fair, PVH/Calvin Klein Cares, and Take Our Sons and Daughters to Work Day.

Talent Development/Management

  • Revises manager-submitted job descriptions as necessary and sends to compensation team with recommendations for review in order to prepare and submit job requisitions for open positions.
  • Works closely with the Sr Manager Human Resources and Sr Director Human Resources on all Talent Management programs/projects, including:
    • Annual Performance Review Process: priority-setting, development plan, annual evaluations, and compensation planning processes.
    • Talent Management: supports annual talent review and succession planning programs.
    • Learning and Development
    • Reviews and proposes compensation offers with HR and Compensation approval

Exit Process

  • Conducts exit interviews for voluntary terminations, providing feedback to HR business partner and/or leadership where appropriate.
  • Re-organizations: works with benefits, compensation, and legal teams to prepare time & action calendars, adverse impact reports, and severance agreements while also supporting communication planning.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

Experience:   

  • 2+ years in a Human Resources setting 
  • Experience working in a fast-paced and customer service oriented environment
  • Experience with some type of HRIS system, preferably Workday

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in related field; HR certification a plus

  • Possesses ability to dive into the details and extract actionable steps

  • Ability to multi-task, take initiative, negotiate, and influence thinking as well as demonstrate flexibility supporting a dynamic group
  • Must be ethical and professional while maintaining confidentiality, and exhibiting tact and empathy
  • Strong computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio)

Internal: Calvin Klein HR department, cross-functional HR departments (PVH, Tommy Hilfiger), PVH Bridgewater Office departments (Benefits, Payroll, Learning & Development, Compensation); Calvin Klein Design, Merchandising, Marketing, Sustainability, Global Strategy, Legal, Facilities, Security, Licensing, and Finance teams. 

External: N/A

DECISION MAKING: Must possess a strong sense of diplomacy and discretion due to exposure to confidential and highly sensitive information; ability to make informed decisions and advise in a judicious, objective, and balanced manner.
