SUMMARY
Bering Global Solutions, LLC
a subsidiary of Bering Straits Native Corporation,
is seeking an experienced Medic in support of the Department of State’s Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL) International Police Peacekeeping Operations Support (IPPOS) program.
The requirement is to support U.S. government efforts to enhance the operational effectiveness of police in peacekeeping operations. The goal of this program is to improve the capacity of partner countries to generate, train, deploy, and lead effective police officers and units in UN Peacekeeping missions by providing capacity-building support and specialized training.
The IPPOS program has a multi-pronged approach:
Build institutional sustainability to improve the management, logistical, and administrative capacities that contribute to high-quality deployments.
Collaborate with UN Police Division to improve doctrine, develop UN training standards for police, and certify UN instructors.
Train FPU commanders, FPU mechanics, and FPUs in areas that include, but are not limited to, leadership, firearms, VIP protection, and equipment maintenance.
Develop local training staff and mentor them as they deliver UN required pre-deployment training to Formed Police Units (FPUs) and Individual Police Officers (IPOs).
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

The administrative support specialist is responsible for logistical tasks associated with contract objectives. This includes scheduling, travel, and implementation support.
This position may require travel to and within countries with security, health, and other potentially dangerous conditions.
Responsibilities:
Scheduling
Track trainings in multiple countries and develop a calendar to ensure sufficient preparation time for each; and
Adjust calendars and inform relevant individuals when training dates shift.
Travel Support
Make travel arrangements for deploying personnel;
Arrange in-country life support, such as hotels and, if not available on the local economy, food, for deploying personnel; and
Manage documents necessary for invoicing.
Implementation Support
Identify venues for training and/or mentoring activities;
Facilitate use of host-nation training venues and/or arrange to rent external spaces;
Arrange all necessary training support, including training materials, training equipment, and necessary systems for conveying training material; and
Provide administrative support to all IPPOS activities.
Minimum Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree;
Two years professional experience;
Demonstrated experience organizing multifaceted projects;
Excellent oral and written communication skills and proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; and
Ability to receive and maintain a Moderate Risk Public Trust (MRPT) certification.
Preferred Qualifications
One year experience arranging events overseas; and
Experience with foreign assistance.

Trainer/Advisor must be willing and able to stand and walk for long periods of time. Trainer will be deployed for periods up to 16 weeks with limited access to western medical facilities. Trainer will be working in austere environments and will likely spend several hours a day out of doors in hot climates.
Employees who are required to travel in connection with an order, must be physically able to travel to the intended destination and remain there without significant health risk for the required period. Employees will be responsible for assuring they have received the proper immunizations and take proper health measures before, during, and after said travel.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS
As a condition of employment, may be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening, as well as have acceptable reference and background check results to obtain access to military base. Must have reliable transportation to/from work a necessity and must be able to obtain access to military installations.
