This position includes 50% of back office (clinical) and 50% front office (administrative) responsibilities. This position will be the primary contact for new and returning patients requiring ambulatory care at the Madison Clinic in UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital in an outpatient setting.\u003cbr/\u003e\u003cbr/\u003eThe clinical responsibilities include; performing clinical procedures (vitals, blood glucose A1C), pend orders, report/record high/low blood sugar, and perform assigned patient care in support of services provided to patients within the practice. In addition, s/he will administer vaccine injections, stock exam rooms, and enter external lab results into the EMR (APeX). \u003cbr/\u003e\u003cbr/\u003eThe administrative responsibilities include; checking in/out patients, answering phones, pre-registering, verifying insurance coverage, obtaining referrals, scheduling appointments, collecting co-payments, making reminder calls, managing no-show tracker, RightFax, clinic email, downloading several diabetes devices, scanning and other duties as assigned by the manager. \u003cbr/\u003e \u003cbr/\u003eThis position will function as a critical component of a core team, which includes the MA II, the Clinic Scheduler(s), and the Diabetes Ambassador, who will work collaboratively to ensure best support for clinic operation and patient satisfaction assuring positive outcomes.
