Profile

The Receptionist creates a seamless experience for incoming guests and internal contacts.  The role will deal with many external partners including vendors, candidates, and agencies.

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Answer telephone console in a timely and professional manner, directing calls to the appropriate Tommy Hilfiger associate or voicemail
  • Warmly greet visitors and contacting the appropriate associate when their guests arrive
  • Act as general brand ambassador for the floor
  • Greet and announce visitors to our New York offices and showrooms.  Perform some clerical duties for departments as requested
  • Maintain a clean and inviting reception area for guests
  • Code UPS and Federal Express billing
  • Attend staff meetings given by immediate supervisor to better understand the in and outs of the company and to discuss ways of improving duties and responsibilities
  • Obtain information to update phone list used by Facilities, Security and Reception
  • Assist showroom staff by announcing appointment arrivals and directing to appropriate showrooms
  • Assist in scheduling conference rooms, as needed
  • Handle additional projects, as needed

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 1-2 years general office/reception experience
  • High school diploma
  • Able to conduct high level of professionalism with excellent telephone etiquette
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Responsive to customers, business partners and guests
  • Organized and flexible to the needs of the position
  • Experience with MS Word and Outlook
  • Exhibit a high level of confidentiality and discretion
  • Some pre-customer service skills required and decisions on how best to interact with disappointed customers and vendors. Recognizing opportunities to disarm with verbal interaction
  • Dispensing accurate information and getting callers and guests where they need to with courtesy and professionalism
  • Ability to work in fluid environment with changing priorities required
