Qualified professional needed to fill an exciting legal administrative assistant position supporting the Patient, Data & Privacy Law Team.
The successful candidate should be a self-motivated, efficient team player with strong oral and written communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills is a must. Candidate should also have a demonstrated capacity to develop new skills and learn new software applications. He/she will be responsible for supporting multiple attorneys; managing executive level calendars, travel requirements and meeting logistics.
Candidate must be capable of multi-tasking, prioritizing and have the ability to work with other members of the BMS Law Department. Independent judgment is required to plan, prioritize and organize a diversified workload, and meet applicable deadlines on a timely basis.
Candidate will interact with a diverse group of external advisers, attorneys and visitors, as well as internal contacts at all levels of the Company.
Exhibit a positive work attitude, high productivity and a collaborative approach with other employees across the organization.
The candidate must demonstrate a steadfast commitment to ethics and integrity, and will be expected to use discretion and maintain confidentiality in all aspects of the role.
Essential Functions
Performs a variety of project oriented, administrative duties and responsibilities on behalf of the practice area with minimal supervision.
Schedules and organizes complex activities such as meetings, travel, conferences and department activities.
Process administrative matters of low risk and complexity for internal parties and business partners.
Works independently and within a team on special nonrecurring and ongoing projects.
Applies core competencies in simple and routine situations and decision-making.
Coordinates and answers correspondence and assembles highly confidential and sensitive information.
Responds to regularly occurring requests for information.
Handles confidential and non-routine information.
Presents information clearly and effectively in written and verbal formats to multiple levels of internal and external audiences. Listens openly to other's point of view.
Preferred requirements
Bachelor’s degree and 4 years of work experience in a law firm, an in-house legal department, a consulting firm, or comparable experience elsewhere.
Experience in project coordination and/or project management preferably within pharmaceutical, legal or regulatory industry
Ability to lead independently, exercising good judgment in potentially difficult situations.
Ability to multi-task, be detail oriented, accurate, and act with a sense of urgency when needed.
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, including the ability to professionally communicate with a wide variety of individuals, respond to inquiries, and provide feedback in a timely manner.
Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Office, Outlook, Concur, Purchasing systems and SharePoint.
