JOB OVERVIEW
The CECH Systems Development & Improvement (SDI) Center in Columbus, Ohio is searching for an Executive Staff Assistant to assist in the planning and coordination of administration and/or operational activities of substantial variety and complexity. The SDI Center fosters the development, implementation, and evaluation of PK20 education research and demonstration efforts that improve opportunities to learn for children and youth, their families, and the professionals who support them. At the core of many Center activities is a commitment to advocacy on behalf of all children, as well as partnerships - with school districts, with professional associations, with institutions of higher education, with regional providers, with the state - that improve conditions and outcomes for students with disabilities and other marginalized groups of learners (e.g., learners who are economically disadvantaged, learners at risk of school failure for a variety of reasons, etc.).
Funding for this position is based upon the availability of external funds and has a planned compensation of $44,000 plus benefits.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
*Gather and evaluate information and assist in determining priorities. *Coordinate and evaluate procedures. *Coordinate the use of facilities and equipment. *Perform research concerning procedures and practices, identifying problems and recommending solutions. *Serve as liaison for administrator in the interpretation of policies and procedures. *Represent administrator on committees and attend meetings on behalf of administrator. *May coordinate personnel transactions. *Receive and reconcile expense statements. *Review and monitor expenditures on supplies, equipment, etc. *Perform other related duties based on departmental need.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
*Bachelor's degree with one (1) year experience; -OR- Associate's degree with three (3) years' experience; -OR- five (5) years' experience. *Experience must be in high-level administrative support.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS CONSIDERED
*Experience in use of a variety of technological applications (Word, Excel, SurveyMonkey, Doodle, etc.). *Experience in supporting grant management activities (e.g., budget development).
