An opportunity with a varied and stimulating workload
Our New Homes team has an opportunity for a paralegal to predominantly look after our plot sales and also assist the wider team with normal paralegal duties. As part of a wider Residential Conveyancing department, the team provides a tailored service for a wide range of developer clients from national housebuilders and joint venture partners to local smaller scale developers and first time developers. Joining the team, you’ll assist with sales of new-build and property conversions of houses and flats, sold off plan or already built, freehold and leasehold, under a variety of options for purchasing including out-right sale, part-exchange and government incentive schemes.
The work is varied and stimulating, but it is also busy and challenging. You will need to be extremely organised and comfortable having direct contact with clients and purchasers’ legal representatives. You will be expected to manage your own caseload under the supervision of our Head of New Homes. Not all transactions run entirely smoothly and a good degree of resilience and composure is required to provide a high-quality and professional service at all times. But you won’t be doing this alone: you’ll be part of a small, friendly team and valued for your individual contribution with support to develop your skills and experience.
It is part of our ethos that everyone is encouraged to develop and pursue their legal career, with the support and guidance from everyone in the team. It is the head of the team’s mission to ensure everyone is moving forward! We’ll encourage conversations with you around opportunities we have at FSP for training to qualify as a solicitor – including through our Graduate Solicitor Apprenticeship route.
Ideally you will already have at least 6 months of conveyancing / property experience as a paralegal or trainee legal executive but LPC graduates with other paralegal experience and a genuine interest in conveyancing as a career will also be considered.
Read through our FSP Employee Benefits on our Careers page for more detail on what you can expect with this role.
