Ward and Smith, P.A. is a growing full-service law firm with multiple offices throughout North Carolina. We are seeking a Creditors' Rights Paralegal to join our Raleigh office.

Applicants should be multi-task oriented, well organized, have excellent written and oral communication skills, and be able to function well in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, assisting attorneys in all aspects of commercial and consumer bankruptcy and collections, with a familiarity with foreclosures and other related Creditors' Rights matters; drafting, e-filing and serving legal documents, a working knowledge of state and federal court rules, systems and statutory deadlines; detailed caseflow management and docketing of all aspects of same; conferring with Clerks, Court Administrators, Sheriff's Departments and parties involved; monitoring and management of electronic filing systems, service and schedules; maintaining electronic and physical files; and following up to ensure all required actions are completed. All paralegal functions are performed under the supervision of an attorney and paralegal supervisor.

Applicants should have at least two years' experience in handling all aspects of commercial and consumer bankruptcy, collections, and foreclosures. A Bachelor's Degree or an Associate's Degree in Paralegal Technology is preferred. Work experience may be substituted for education.

We offer a generous $2500 sign-on/retention bonus for our Paralegals.
