\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eGENERAL SUMMARY: \u003c/strong\u003ePerforms and completes litigation secretarial functions for three to four attorneys.\u0026nbsp; Requires working knowledge of the federal judicial system, in particular agency procedures in labor and employment law, docketing procedures, cite checking and MS Word proficiency.\u0026nbsp; Individual will prepares legal documents, i.e. court pleadings and/or general correspondence from dictation, oral, tape, handwritten and\\or boilerplate or printed copy.\u003c/p\u003e

\u003cli\u003ePrepares legal documents and/or general correspondence from handwritten, dictation, taped, oral, boiler plate or printed copy.\u0026nbsp; Prepares court documents for service to opposing parties and filing documents in the office of the clerk of the court.\u003c/li\u003e
\u003cli\u003eDrafts\\writes routine business correspondence as requested.\u003c/li\u003e
\u003cli\u003eMaintains chronological files for each attorney as well as case\\client files.\u0026nbsp;\u003c/li\u003e
\u003cli\u003eMaintain attorney contact list through Outlook as well as calendar scheduling for court dates, meetings and travel arrangements.\u003c/li\u003e
\u003cli\u003eReview and revise attorneys\u0026rsquo; timesheets, expense reports and pre-bills.\u003c/li\u003e
\u003cli\u003eActively maintain court docket and alert attorneys of deadlines.\u003c/li\u003e
\u003cli\u003eAnswer attorneys\u0026rsquo; telephone in a professional manner and to take appropriate messages when necessary.\u003c/li\u003e
\u003cli\u003eProactively seek guidance from other resources, i.e. attorneys or management when questions arise from clients or outside vendors.\u003c/li\u003e
\u003cli\u003eMaintain a professional, calm and pleasant demeanor when speaking with clients.\u003c/li\u003e

\u003cli\u003eExtensive knowledge of court rules, ECF procedures\u003c/li\u003e
\u003cli\u003eProfessional demeanor to be able to communicate with all levels of management, clients attorneys and staff.\u003c/li\u003e
\u003cli\u003eWork occasionally requires a high level of mental effort when performing a high volume of administrative tasks and performing other essential duties.\u003c/li\u003e
\u003cli\u003eAbility to work standard office equipment, including computer, copier, facsimile and telephone.\u003c/li\u003e
\u003cli\u003eMay require to work more than 40 hours per week to perform the essential duties.\u003c/li\u003e
\u003cli\u003eAbility to sit for extended period of time in a minimum eight hour day in two or three hour increments.\u003c/li\u003e
