Job Purpose/Summary:
The K12 bid team works cooperatively to respond to 2500 bid solicitations annually; with 300 of these responses being submitted directly by Tyson, the remaining solicitations are submitted to distributor partners with the assistance of our broker network.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
This position will be a supporting role to the bid process through data collection, entry, and review. Specific responsibilities include: Utilizing Excel to create and complete renewal pricing templates and other charts required as supporting materials for direct bid submissions. Accumulation and assembly of supportive bid materials. Provide support in management of pricing data across multiple systems.
Additional responsibilities include working in InterFlex and Forge to provide contract pricing for K-12 solicitations, both directly and through distribution partners. This will be achieved by assisting brokers, sales, and customers in expeditiously and accurately analyzing product information entered into Interflex and collaborating with pricing managers to provide timely responses. Completion of research, interpretation, and entry of award data into applicable systems and associated tasks.
As a support role to the K12 bid process, this position utilizes new technologies and collaboration in order to ensure that related administrative tasks are efficiently managed and completed by their assigned deadlines.
Performs other duties of a similar nature as may be required.
Requirements:
Education/Certifications: High School diploma or equivalent.
Experience: 3 years' experience required.
Computer Skills: Standard computer skills including experience with Microsoft Office; Tyson Business Computer Systems and Forge experience is preferred. Intermediate level skills with Excel is preferred.
Communication Skills: Collaboration is a key element to this role; therefore, excellent written and verbal communication skills are preferred.
Special Skills: Work is extremely varied and requires the interpretation of technical and detailed guidelines, policies, and procedures. Broad guidelines must be interpreted to develop and implement programs or procedures to achieve work results; responsible for analyzing and solving problems. The ability to adapt and grow with process changes is essential.
