SUMMARY

Bering Global Solutions, LLC, a subsidiary of Bering Straits Native Corporation is currently seeking a qualified Trainer/Administrative Assistant in Pittsburg, PA.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

The Essential Duties and Responsibilities are intended to present a descriptive list of the range of duties performed for this position, and are

not

intended to reflect all duties performed within the job. Other duties may be assigned.

Managing / conducting contract-required and specialized training to include coordinating basic training, supervising OJT, monthly interactive and annual refresher training, as well as ensuring all firearms qualifications and re-qualifications are completed in accordance with contract and any State/Local requirements.

Devise both classroom and field training programs that will enhance Officer’s performance of duties.

Ensure training completion documentation is submitted to the PM promptly after completion.

Prepare and develop training class outlines, handouts, PowerPoint presentations and submitting to the PM for review.

Coordinate all training with PM

Develop testing materials to measure Officer Retention of training.

Plan, develop and implement monthly safety and environmental health training

Review and revise as needed, company training manual

Maintain thorough and accurate training files on all staff assigned to the CDC contract.

Maintain digital training spreadsheets to ensure compliance of all required government and state training.(deliverables)

Assist in the maintaining of employee’s state licensing per specific state laws. ACT 235, Guard Cards, etc.

Assist in the recruitment of qualified applicants.

Conduct quarterly exercises per Statement of Work.

Assist PM in any and all training related issues.

QUALIFICATIONS - EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION

Required (Minimum) Qualifications

High School Diploma

Two years’ experience as an instructor/trainer, or a combination of education and experience.

Training certification by an appropriate local, state, federal or educational body.

First Aid/CPR/AED instructor

Firearms Instructor

MEB Instructor

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics

Knowledge of program objectives, policies, procedures and requirements for all CDC locations.

Ability to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing.

Possess computer skills and knowledge in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Excellent organizational skills

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Work Environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be borne by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. 

Job is performed in an office setting with exposure to computer screens and requires extensive use of a computer, keyboard, mouse and multi-line telephone system. The work described herein is primarily a modern office setting. Occasional travel may be required.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

No supervisory responsibilities.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS

As a condition of employment, may be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening, as well as have acceptable reference and background check results to obtain access to military base. Must have reliable transportation to/from work a necessity and must be able to obtain access to military installations.
