Kapiolani Medical Center for Women & Children is well recognized as Hawaiis leader in the care of women, infants and children. With 207 beds and 66 bassinettes, the nonprofit hospital is Hawaiis only maternity, newborn and pediatric specialty hospital. It is also a tertiary care, medical teaching and research facility. Specialty services include intensive care for infants and children, 24-hour emergency care, neonatal and pediatric air transport and childrens specialty clinics. With a dedicated team of more than 1,300 employees and 604 physicians, the hospital is home to Kapiolani Womens Center, Kapiolani Breast Center and Kapiolani Womens Cancer Center, the states only dedicated breast health and gynecological cancer centers. Kapiolani offers numerous community programs and services, such as the Kapiolani Child Protection Center and Sex Abuse Treatment Center, and through our affiliation with the University of Hawaii, we are home to the John A. Burns School of Medicine Pediatrics and OB/GYN residency programs.
Founded on the philosophy of empowering women to take charge of their health, Kapiolani Women's Centers have been helping women to take good care of themselves and their families for years. Through the Women's Centers, clients receive health screenings, diagnostic tests and treatment services at our two convenient locations in Honolulu and Aiea. Kapiolani Womens Centers are the only Oahu facilities to be named Breast Imaging Centers of Excellence by the American College of Radiology. The Centers rank among the top five percent in the nation. Other areas of health care at the Womens Center include: bone health and osteoporosis, menopause, ultrasound, womens counseling and coaching, aesthetics, massage, acupuncture and various educational classes geared toward healthy living.
As a Medical Assistant, you will join the dedicated team of physicians and medical staff that provide caring, thorough health services to our Womens Center patients and their families. In this role, you will perform a wide variety of patient care activities for clients of all ages. We are looking for someone detail-oriented and attentive, with strong communications and patient care skills and a commitment to delivering the highest quality health care to Hawaiis people.

Minimum Qualifications:
High school or equivalent. Completion of a Medical Assistant Program and/or equivalent experience. Certified or Registered Medical Assistant with the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), American Medical Technologists (AMT), National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT), or National Healthcareer Association (NHA). Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR card. Must be able to complete departmental competency assessment by conclusion of orientation period. One (1) year back office medical assistant experience in an outpatient clinic, physicians office, or related experience.
