Human Resources Coordinator
This position provides human resources day-to-day support with an emphasis on the onboarding and offboarding process at **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. and Southeast Iowa Union. Will manage and maintain sensitive and confidential information.
Job Responsibilities:
Provide recruitment support Talent acquisition: write job descriptions and postings, post jobs, source candidates, review applications and conduct screening calls, facilitate and schedule interview process, order drug screens and background checks, and participate in networking opportunities.
Conduct onboarding and offboarding: data entry of new hires, new hire orientation administration and support, and exit interviews. Will provide administrative support in the onboarding and offboarding process such as arranging parking and processing technology requests
Will participate in employee relations and escalate as needed to the managers, business unit leaders, and Shared Services Human Resources
Understand the roles and dynamics within the organization and help implement opportunities to build and improve company culture
Work as a liaison between worker’s compensation carrier and internal team to process worker’s compensation claims
Compliance and Regulatory Administrative Support Assist in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures; assist with on-going handbook updates.
May conduct routine audits of I-9 and background checks to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Maintain confidential employee records
Other duties as assigned, per the needs of the business.
Job Skills & Attributions:
Will maintain high degree of confidentiality when working with and maintaining sensitive and confidential information
Must have meticulous attention to detail with a track record of accuracy
Knowledge of state and federal employment laws
Working knowledge of HRIS and talent management software preferred
Adaptive and agile while managing competing priorities and deadlines
Solid communication skills; spoken and written
Good interpersonal skills; ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships
Works under general instruction for projects and assignments. Will require moderate supervision in executing assignments.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business or Communications preferred, and one to two years recruitment experience preferred.
