GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
To provide administrative support work for the development office and its directors, specifically in the areas of special events, gift processing, annual giving, alumni relations and other development office work as assigned.
WORK PERFORMED
Assists with workflow and administrative tasks for special events, annual giving and alumni relations.
Performs highly skilled tasks within Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, Publisher and associated programs to draft, edit, review and prepare.
correspondence, reports, memos, grants, forms and other related development documents.
Uses appropriate programs and technology to design and maintains spreadsheets, databases, web pages, invitations, announcements, certificates, etc.
Performs some gift processing duties.
Greets and interacts with students, faculty, other college employees and visitors to answer questions and provide information.
Receives, screens and routes incoming mail for special events, annual giving and alumni relations.
Updates and maintains electronic distribution lists.
Answers phones and emails and responds to inquiries and/or directs them to appropriate source for resolution.
Develops and maintains paper and electronic file management for all relevant information such as correspondence and reports.
Prioritizes multiple project assignments, requiring a high degree of accuracy and efficiency.
Acts as backup for other employees in the work group as required and performs related duties as required.
Assist with weekly reports.
Ability to handle moderate physical activity when preparing for and breaking down events.
Requirements:
AA degree required.
Minimum two years clerical office work experience.
Considerable skill in work coordination and management.
Expertise with Microsoft Office and ability to learn and apply new software quickly.
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to the development office conflict of interest policy.
