MOS Codes: 0820 (Navy), 4N000 (Airforce), 021 (Coast Guard), 65 (Army)
Education and Experience : An Associate's degree in business or public administration, accounting, management or related field and four (4) years administrative experience in a medical office including medical billing or collections, office policies and procedures or front desk activities and two (2) years of supervisory or lead work experience.
Licenses and Certificates : A Texas Class C Driver's License or equivalent from another state.
General Purpose
Under direction, provide administrative and supervisory work in specialized clerical, fiscal and personnel management operations in support of the clinical billing process and revenue management for the Public Health Department.
Typical Duties
Manage the day-to-day business operations of the dental office and mobile dental units. Involves: Monitor appropriate metrics to ensure consistent adherence with all aspects of ethics and compliance, including all regulatory, credentialing, and licensing requirements. Implement key dental service line strategies. Ensure the patient/provider volume, practice site efficiencies, compliance, employee satisfaction and patient satisfaction are met. Draft and implement policies and procedures. Site oversight of processes, education, training and customer service in the front office as well as collaboration with the clinical team to create efficiencies and dental team processes. The starting salary is generally at the beginning of the salary range.
Note: This is unclassified contract position. Employment is predicated on the continuation of state/federal funding.
