Remote Surgical Coder
Abstracts clinical information from a variety of medical records and assigns appropriate ICD 10 CM and/or CPT codes to patient records according to established procedures. Analyzes, enters and manipulates database, confirms appropriate DRG assignments. Knowledge in ICD-10 and CPT-4 coding required.
Minimum Requirements
3+ years work experience; Minimum 6 months medical coding and 6 months general clerical experience required; 10,000 Alpha Numeric and Numeric keying speed required.
Critical Skills:
*Must have Multi-Specialty Coding Experience*
Abstraction coding experience required
Profee/Physician Coding Experience is a must have
General Surgery Coding Experience a plus
Additional Knowledge & Skills:
Excellent overall knowledge of coding. Helps train and/or check work of level 1 coders. Answers questions of other coders.
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent work experience;
CPC or CCS required.

Pay: $18.00 - $35.00 per hour/ DOE
