An Addison Group client is looking for an interim Benefits Manager for their Philadelphia office!
Duties & Functions:
Administers medical, dental, group life, accidental death and dismemberment, disability benefit plans, flexible spending accounts, and 403B plans. Cobra, FMLA and unemployment claims response.
Ensures benefits procedures are in compliance with Federal and State laws, including, but not limited to Employee Retirement Security Act (ERISA), Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act (COBRA), Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPPA), Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), etc.
Makes certain that all responses to benefit inquiries and complaints come to a quick, equitable, courteous resolution and are escalated as needed.
Responsible for successful benefits staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
Analyzes and recommends process change to improve customer service and to increase the efficiency of the department.
Reviews and approves monthly benefits account reconciliations and payments.
Collaborates with brokers and vendors in preparing ongoing and annual enrollment announcement material, benefits booklets, and other media for communicating new plans to employees.
Identifies and advises management of benefits trends, problems, and issues as well as recommended course of action.
Oversees the development of informative trainings that provide employees with key information regarding benefits.
Supports timely annual 5500 filings and audits by collaborating with accounting dept., external auditors, brokers and carriers.
Insure benefits and unemployment claims records, leave records and coordinating documentation are properly secured, documented and stored.
Providing monthly data to the Benefits Director on a continual basis.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Administration
5 years of recent and relevant experience
Experience in Lawson HRIS system is strongly preferred
