SUMMARY
Global Management Services, a subsidiary of **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. is currently seeking a qualified Secretary II for The DFC Roads & Grounds/Snow Removal contract in Lakewood, Colorado.  
Provides principal secretarial support in an office, usually to one individual, and, in some cases, also to the subordinate staff of that individual. Maintains a close and highly responsive relationship to the day-to-day activities of the supervisor and staff. Works fairly independently, receiving a minimum of detailed supervision and guidance. Performs varied clerical and secretarial duties requiring a knowledge of office routine and an understanding of the organization, programs, and procedures related to the work of the office.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Handles differing situations, problems, and deviations in the work of the office according to the supervisor's general instructions, priorities, duties, policies, and program goals. Supervisor may assist secretary with special assignments. Duties include or are comparable to the following:
Screens telephone calls, visitors, and incoming correspondence; personally responds to requests for information concerning office procedures; determines which requests should be handled by the supervisor, appropriate staff member or other offices. May prepare and sign routine, nontechnical correspondence in own or supervisor's name;
Schedules tentative appointments without prior clearance. Makes arrangements for conferences and meetings and assembles established background materials, as directed. May attend meetings and record and report on the proceedings;
Reviews outgoing materials and correspondence for internal consistency and conformance with supervisor's procedures; assures that proper clearances have been obtained, when needed;
Collects information from the files or staff for routine inquiries on office program(s) or periodic reports. Refers non routine requests to supervisor or staff;
Explains to subordinate staff supervisor's requirements concerning office procedures. Coordinates personnel and administrative forms for the office and forwards for processing.

Minimum 2 Years Secretary Experience

Typing/Data Entry Skills
Proficient in Microsoft Word
Proficient in Excel
Organized
Preferred
5 Years of related experience
Payroll/Time Accounting Experience
Work Order Dispatch/Scheduling

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work Environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be borne by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. 
Job is performed in an office setting with exposure to computer screens and requires extensive use of a computer, keyboard, mouse and multi-line telephone system. The work described herein is primarily a modern office setting. Occasional travel may be required.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
No supervisory responsibilities.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS
As a condition of employment, may be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening, as well as have acceptable reference and background check results to obtain access to the government facility. Must have reliable transportation to/from work a necessity and must be able to obtain access to military installations.
