Where you fit in

You are a part of the health team BeNeFrux responsible for delivering the health strategy to. This also includes ensuring compliance with local legislation as well as being customer centric. You provide occupational health services and professional guidance. This will be through leveraging the Shell Health core competencies of health expertise, science, collaboration, and business intimacy.

What’s the role?

We’ll entrust you to deliver Medical Assistant activities in the assigned service area(s). You will provide support and assurance of essential functions in health as well as activities such as records management, coordination of facilities, supplies, and work activities. More specifically, you will:


Be responsible for medical record keeping system and uploading records within electronic medical database.
Screen and assess employees to include vital signs, triaging and managing minor injuries, first aid cases and occupational exposures.
Assist in managing and executing vaccinations.
Assist occupational health nurses and occupational health physicians with periodic medical examinations i.e., Fitness to Work and Medical Surveillance.
Perform audiometric testing and pulmonary function testing for appropriate medical surveillance examination.
Perform point of care lab testing: Blood Glucose Monitoring via accuchecks, cholesterol and lipids blood sample testing, blood draws, and UA dipstick testing.
Participate in employee medical absence registration/documentation and ability to pull medical absence statistics reports.
Plan and execute wellness and health promotion programs (human performance and care)
Manage medical stock and supplies
Coordinate with external providers, medical offices and site supervisors for disability management and fitness to work cases.
Manage IT systems with the ability to access case files, run reports, and ensure the integrity of required medical documentation.
Be accountable and responsible for multiple locations and/or local, regional, and global projects as needed.


What we need from you

Professional skills:


Medical Assistant certification or equivalent experience
Computer skills and experience with electronic medical record and IT systems such as: Microsoft Office, SAP, and Medical IT, such as K2A and One Health
Experience of working in a clinical setting supporting care provision
Deep understanding of national and local regulatory guidance.
Working knowledge of relevant country, required for medical practice.
Excellent written and verbal skills in English (and Dutch and or other relevant language) is a must
Caring and compassionate demeaner.


Leadership skills:


Able to prioritize and shows courage to identify improvement opportunities and challenge lower value work.
Continuously looks for opportunities to learn from and leverage best practices.
