The Grants Budget and Finance Coordinator is responsible for assisting in matters related to fiscal reporting and accounting of all Engineering grants.
Summary
: Oversees all externally funded research related purchasing and budgeting for the Henry M. Rowan College of Engineering
Assists Associate Dean for Research and faculty with all grant proposals and budget submissions
Coordinates with Pre Award as needed
Assists with Post-Award grant paperwork processing, ensuring compliance with the Office of Sponsored Programs, other internal partners, and external agencies and sub-award contractors
Ensures expenditures are in accordance with the allocation of funds
Maintains database of grant submissions and awards for the College of Engineering
Monitors grant deadlines and assists PI's with grant budget closeout
Keeps current of policies and regulations that govern grant agencies and uniform guidance
Assists PI's in the processing of grant budget transfers and DCA's and coordinates with the Office of Sponsored Program and Accounting Services
Assists PI's with navigating the purchasing requirements for grant purchases
Assists PI's with navigating the IRT hardware and software approvals and requirements for grant purchases
Monitors and processes travel requests and reimbursements in Concur for all PI's and student grant funded travel
Monitors and processes all grant funded position hires
Ensures compliance with University policies relating to finances
Assists the Associate Dean for Research and the Assistant Director with PI's grant proposal writing training's and grant budget training's for the College
Work cooperatively with employees of the College and other units of the University when performing assigned responsibilities
Schedules meetings, prepares agendas and insures that meeting minutes are prepared and distributed. Provides support services to committees including arranging for meeting rooms, gathering materials, analyzing items requiring a determination and recommending appropriate action
Additional duties as assigned by the Dean
Qualifications
: Bachelor's degree
Two (2) years of professional experience required
Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the US, and the university will not sponsor an applicant for a work visa for this position.
