Description:
The eHealth Productivity and Innovation in Cornwall (EPIC2) project is funded to the end of March 2023 by the European Regional Development Fund. EPIC has had considerable success in developing the eHealth sector in Cornwall. There is a lot of ongoing work supporting SMEs in the region and we seek a full-time Business Support Officer (BSO) to support the Business Engagement Manager and project team. You will work from Truro but with an opportunity for some home working. The EPIC2 team works with a large network of academics, SMEs, the health and social care sector, charities, students, and other organisations to further develop the eHealth sector in Cornwall. You will support the team in developing the technology capacity in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly, engaging SMEs and supporting their work with the EPIC2 project. As the ‘face’ of EPIC2, you will be the first point of contact for many SMEs in Cornwall and so excellent inter-personal skills and organisation are essential. You will also contact and support SMEs in their application to the EPIC2 Challenge Fund and offer them business support. Please demonstrate how you meet the essential criteria outlined in the knowledge, qualifications, training and experience elements of the job description in your supporting statement. For an informal discussion to find out more about the role then please contact Ray Jones by email at ****. Interviews are likely to take place week commencing Monday 19th September 2022 and you will be notified if you have been shortlisted or not. This is a full-time position working 37 hours per week on a fixed-term basis until 31st March 2023 due to funding. Flexible working options including job share will be considered. We offer a competitive salary package and a generous pension and holiday scheme. We also offer a range of other benefits, including ongoing development opportunities.
