Summary: As part of Cobb Research and Development Team’s efforts to improve genetic progress in pure lines and products, this position provides critical administrative support to the Vice President of Cobb R&D and the department’s leadership team. The ideal candidate is resourceful, a good problem solver, excellent attention to detail, adept, highly organized, and comfortable with accounting data. The candidate must also have strong collaboration skills and the ability to effectively communicate, ensuring that all tasks are completed and delivered with high quality and in a timely manner. The candidate should be open to learning and supporting a variety of new projects and tasks on a regular basis. Specific duties include but are not limited to the following:
Coordinate and schedule meetings. Provide support through agendas and meeting summaries.
Support R&D team and RAC group in managing and tracking of externally funded projects.
Assist with organizing and improving the Cobb R&D report filing and retrieval systems
Provide overall invoice and budget management support.
Provide support for travel planning, permissions, and booking according to Tyson policies.
Update and distribute R&D Highlight and Dashboard reports plus pedigree trend graphs
Prepare and handle confidential and proprietary information
Assist with communication needs, including presentations and reports (Word, PowerPoint)
Analyze R&D performance and selection data (Excel)
Experience: Two plus years’ experience in the Poultry industry is preferred
Education: High school degree; Bachelor’s degree in Poultry or Animal Science or related studies preferred
Computer Skills: Knowledge of office management systems and procedures. Working knowledge of office equipment e.g. printers. Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office suite particularly Outlook Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with corporate deployments of SAP preferred.
Communication Skills: Must possess excellent organizational, verbal, and written skills, and be a self-starter; professional and approachable demeanor; ability to work with peers to gather data for repors
Special Skills: Ability to prioritize and reprioritize work with limited amount of supervision; ability to collaborate and to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information; aptitude for general reporting, accounting and invoicing.

Personal Protective Equipment Required: When visiting facilities Team Member is expected to follow the required safety procedures and wear the required personal protective equipment.
Biosecurity: The jobsite is a biosecurity environment which requires showering before entering the facility and could require multiple showers during the work day. Appropriate clothing and footwear is provided by the Company. No jewelry may be worn on the jobsite except for medical ID jewelry. Must be willing to sign an agreement to avoid any avian species chickens ducks birds . The Company Animal Welfare Policy must be followed at all times. Must be willing to follow the guidelines in all Cobb Farm Hatchery Biosecurity Standards
