Job Details:

SUMMARY: Responsibilities include creating and maintaining the electronic and paper personnel files; vacation and bid job tracking; attendance; disciplinary actions; and employment verifications for current and previous hourly team members. Other duties also include answering a steady volume of telephone inquiries, handling a high volume of team member inquiries regarding Company benefits, policies, and payroll, along with other HR duties as assigned by the HR Manager.All Tyson Team Members are responsible for safety. This includes but is not limited to personal safety and food safety.REQUIREMENTS: Resume must be submitted with application to be considered.


Qualified candidates must reside within our recruiting region (50-mile radius of the Louisa County Facility).


Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Some post-secondary education in general office and clerical skills are a plus.

Experience: 1 years of Administrative/Clerical experience in a busy office environment (personnel, client, or customer relations) is preferred.Computer Skills: Excellent computer skills using Microsoft Office are essential and previous SAP and/or HRIS experience is a plus.Communication Skills: Bilingual skills are preferred.Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must have strong people skills; must be capable of communicating well both verbally and in writing with all levels of team members from hourly to upper management, as well as government officials.Special Skills: Must be able to maintain a high degree of confidentiality and be a self-starter with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. The ability to multi-task, prioritize tasks, work with constant interruptions, and possess extensive organizational skills are necessary in this position.

Position-Specific Requirements:

This position is slated for candidates who are currently working at this facility; therefore, they will be considered for the opening first. If none of those local Team Members are selected, then other Team Members from other locations will be given consideration. The Candidate selected for this position must be able to work extended hours as required per management.
