Job Summary

You must be a current UK student to apply for this position. This position is located off-campus with a local Lexington employer and is not affiliated with UK.
Local accounting firm is looking for a is looking for a Accounting Assistant to help during the upcoming 2021 tax season.

We are looking for an individual who is interested in a future in accounting/finance and would like to gain experience working with a Accounting/Tax CPA Firm.

Availability needed for the position is at least 20-25 hours per week, days and times negotiable, mornings preferred. However, working Mondays is mandatory, as it is our busiest day of the week during the tax season. The position will end at approximately the end of May 2022.

Job Duties include:
Greeting clients
Answering phones
Using excel to total invoices, receipts, etc.
Performing math checks on tax returns
Completing tax returns, depending on ability
Running errands for office
Assisting tax preparers with returns
Bookkeeping, depending on ability
Filing client documents
Other duties as needed
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities At least 20 hours/week availability
Microsoft Office Suite (mainly excel and word)
Car for errands
Ability to work in a fast paced environment
