We are currently looking to recruit an additional permanent IT Support Administrator to join the existing IT team.
The role primarily is to provide 1st line user support via telephone, email and face to face communication to all users of IT within Barker Brettell and will involve the taking, logging and prioritising calls and tasks through use of the new IT Support Desk System.
They will be expected to undertake a wide range of IT support activities such as password and log in resets; guidance on all the commonly installed applications – Windows 10, Teams, Office 365 etc; configuring PCs and printers; installing and maintaining software upgrades; telephone system administration; web filtering support; PC troubleshooting; booking IT resources and ensuring meeting rooms set up with appropriate IT requirements; desk moves and network repatching; conducting IT induction sessions for new joiner and maintaining IT systems documentation.
Candidates must have at least 12 months experience already of providing 1st line IT support, preferably having experience of using an IT ‘ticketing’ support system. They should have an active interest in IT and technology with a real desire to learn new skills.
It is essential for candidates to have experience of PC set up and basic networking, including network configuration of PCs and laptops together with accomplished IT knowledge of MS office 365 and Windows 10 and experience of IT trouble shooting for printers etc.
Ideal candidates will already possess the CompTIA A qualification and will also have knowledge of ITIL or similar processes and basic knowledge of Exchange 2016 mailboxes and configuration. Experience of Active Directory and software and image redeployment with MDT would also be advantageous.
Candidates should be confident, articulate and display a service centred approach. They should be able to organise themselves and their work effectively within a busy environment and be prepared to use their initiative whilst working flexibly and effectively in a team environment.
A driving licence would also be desirable.
