**MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***., a national law firm, is seeking a Legal Services Assistant for our Core Support Team to provide support to a group of attorneys and paralegals. Successful candidates will be tech-savvy and enjoy learning and utilizing technology to build efficiency. An advanced level of document technical expertise and experience with the Microsoft Office suite will allow you to build your legal support skill set and ensure our clients receive best-in-class service.
Essential Job Duties:
•Support all aspects of administrative practice, including legal and non-legal processes with focus on exceptional client service
•Incorporate technology and utilize firm resources to provide efficient, best-in-class support to attorneys and paralegals
•Prepare correspondence, memos, and legal documents according to Firm standards using the current word processing and document management systems
•Manage the preparation and coordination of complex document production while utilizing technology platforms and other firm resources to streamline processes and reduce turnaround time
•Maintain pertinent case data to ensure all deadlines and filings are met
•Manage assignments from attorneys and paralegals by providing estimated timelines to complete including progress updates
•Research information as instructed by Associates and Paralegals
•Communicate with other members of the team regarding workload, deadlines, and upcoming assignments to ensure the team is functioning efficiently at all times
•File and provide case support
•Manage electronic filings
•Respond to special project requests from the Hub timekeepers and Group Leader
•Provide outstanding assistance to new Associates and Paralegals and familiarize them with the Core Support Team processes and how to efficiently utilize an assistant
•Collaborate with Core Support Team Members regarding distribution of tasks to ensure equitable workloads, utilizing the Firm’s specified task tracking software
•Maintain strict confidentiality for all information and case data received
•Contribute to the collaborative, self-directed team and provide backup to team members as needed
Minimum Requirements:
•High School diploma required
•Minimum of two years of customer service experience, preferably in a professional services environment
•Corporate, transactional experience preferred
•Document production experience preferred
•Advanced technology knowledge and experience using Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
•Experience with e-filing in both state and federal courts preferred
•Excellent clerical skills and knowledge of grammar, spelling and punctuation
•Exceptional attention to detail and ability to work in a team environment
•Exceptional customer service skills in person, over the phone and via email
•Ability to work with a diverse group of professionals across all offices
•Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines
