Duties
Summary
The Human Resources Assistant
- HRIS is responsible for assisting the HRIS team with daily activities
and administrative support
Job Responsibilities
Answering telephones, screening
calls and taking messages for members of the HRIS team and various members
of the Human Resources department; communicating and directing employees
and managers to the appropriate Human Resources personnel to handle specific
questions or employee issues
Handling administrative paperwork
and record keeping such as copying, faxing, scanning, forms, letters, memorandums,
filing, etc.; assisting the HRIS team with administrative tasks
Working closely with administrative
departments and the Payroll Manager to coordinate paycheck distribution;
maintaining and distributing coupons and other information for employee
discounts
Assisting the HR Administrative
Coordinator with Firm programs and projects, as well as preparation for
Firm events and functions, as needed; providing back-up administrative
assistance to the HR Recruiting team; dealing discreetly with confidential
information; and performing other duties, as assigned.
Required
College degree preferred
At least one year of administrative
experience in a corporate environment is a plus.
Excellent grammar, proofreading,
communication and organizational skills
The ability to work well under
pressure and coordinate several activities simultaneously;
The ability to deal discreetly
with confidential information; strong problem solving and time management
skills;
Solid experience with Microsoft
Office Suite, specifically Word and Excel; and the availability to work
well paid overtime, as needed.
