THE POSITION:
DEFENSE LITIGATION MEDICAL PARALEGAL
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Work directly with attorneys on matters
Prepare Medical Chronologies
Prepare Medical Bill Spreadsheets
Intake initial demand packages and breakdown/prepare for attorney review
Conduct detailed Background Checks (social media, criminal, etc.)
Identify all non-parties i.e. insureds, doctors, healthcare facilities, employers and log
Prepare materials for depos/mediations/trial
Propound discovery
Review depositions for relevant defense arguments and identifying new healthcare providers to subpoena
Work with experts, send documents, attend and summarize conference
Follow-up for updated lien info as case continues
Prepare trial lists
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
*Must have working knowledge of the following:
PRRs; NPNP, SDT& CNO/authorizations and RFCs
Preparation of medical chronologies and discovery demands
*Paralegal Certification required
*Previous defense litigation experience preferred
