Job Summary:
The Legal Administrator is responsible for providing support to the in-house counsel, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards, and managing legal and ethics-related processes. The role requires a high level of professionalism, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the implementation and maintenance of legal and ethics policies and procedures.
Conduct legal and ethics research and analysis and provide recommendations to the legal and ethics team.
Manage the legal and ethics training program for employees, including developing training materials and delivering training sessions.
Coordinate with external counsel and regulatory agencies as directed by the legal and ethics team.
Review contracts and other legal documents for compliance with legal and ethics standards.
Conduct internal investigations into legal and ethics-related matters and provide recommendations on appropriate actions.
Manage the legal and ethics reporting system, including tracking and reporting on legal and ethics-related incidents.
Provide support to the legal and ethics team with respect to litigation, including discovery and document management.
Draft correspondence, memoranda, and other legal and ethics-related documents as directed by the legal and ethics team.
Maintain confidentiality of legal and ethics-related matters.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a related field such as law, ethics, or business administration.
3 years of experience in a legal or ethics-related role.
Strong understanding of legal and ethical standards and requirements, excellent communication (oral and written) skills, and strong communication skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple assignments.
Ability to work well in a team environment.
Knowledge of legal research platforms (e.g. LexisNexis, Westlaw).
